Specialist wine knowledge and experience
Paul van der Lee's previous wine industry roles have included Export Manager for the S.A. Wine Industry Association; 6 years as a Board member of the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation; policy development for Winemakers Federation of Australia; hands on experience as Chief Executive of a medium size winery; leadership in industry development strategy; wine marketing consultancy; and personally selling wine in 20 different export markets.
Paul was the thought leader, project manager and author of the Strategy 2025 (1996) and The Marketing Decade (2000) reports which have had a major influence on the development and growth of the Australian wine industry.
In addition, he was the founding chairman of the biennial ANZ Australian Wine Marketing Conference and formulated the conference themes and program content from 1999 to 2005:
